Heart disease is the world’s number 1 killer and accounts for at least 15 million deaths each year worldwidewith an increasing trend observed in developing countries. Although there is a vast difference in ST segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) care across Asia, we share a common goal of saving lives from STEMI.
With this in mind, we would like to extend a warm welcome to delegates from around the region to attend the Asia Primary Angioplasty Congress (APAC), the first dedicated primary angioplasty meeting in Asia organized by Tan Tock Seng Hospital. There will be a series of lectures by key opinion leaders from far and wide covering most aspects of primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and a “heart-to-heart” discussion on some of the recent controversies such as aspiration thrombectomy, choice of antiplatelet agents and choice of stents etc. Much focus will be placed on the logistics of performing primary PCI in developing countries and initiatives to improve Door to Balloon (D2B).
During this congress, you will discover how GE partners with healthcare providers to solve the world’s toughest challenge in cardiovascular care. The onsite training village would give you the opportunity to interact with our technologies, from a mini cath lab for startups to a revolutionary hybrid Cardiovascular OR solution. Complete your learning experience by joining the observatory tour to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to witness first-hand how people, process and technologies work together to provide optimal outcomes. There is nothing better than to learn directly from actual users on the GE Cardiovascular experience.
Together with you, we are advancing access to primary angioplasty across Asia.
